quran plugin updated for ubiquity 0.5
i’ve done a quick port of the quran ubiquity plugin to work under the new version of ubiquity (0.5). as you may know, ubiquity 0.5 and beyond use a new parser (parser 2) that isn’t compatible with the old parser (parser 1 for 0.1.x versions of ubiquity).
you can get it here. make sure to select “automatically update this feed” so that you get any updates i may get around to making.
this version is pretty much identical to the older one, except that now, you can use “get-ayah,” “get ayah,” or “ayah” to get an ayah, and “search-quran” or “search quran” to do a search. i hope to support some of the new stuff from the pre-alpha version of the quran api soon insha’Allah (other translations, etc).
Thanks for updating to Parser 2.
its a amazing news for me.
how do i get transliteration of an ayah.. wat is the command for that.. you could also list other commands if you have.. thanks
@anonymous – if you know the ayah number, you can do “get ayah 1:1 in transliteration” and that will paste the transliteration where you currently are. is this what you are trying to do?
@ahmedre
Is there a bug in this that doesnt allow sometimes to copy ayaat? sometimes works fine but sometimes when i select the ayat using command search-quran or search quran, it doesnt copy even with ctrl-C.. have anybody experienced similar problems? any solution for this.. btw.. i use latest firefox 3.5.7 and ubiquity 0.5.4.. any help wil be appreciated.. jazakallah in advance
@anonymous – i tried it and it seems to work for me, however, what i usually do is use a combination of search-quran and get-ayah (so i find the verse i want using search-quran and get it (ie paste it in the current document) using get-ayah.
are you trying to highlight and copy from within the ubiquity window?
